The Economist has been predicting a Japan style financial crisis in China regularly since the early 90s. They have always been wrong. You'd think they'd update their model of how China works, but they are so bought into the western system of finance that they can never do that.
China doesn't have boom bust cycles because:
- It has little foreign debt.
- It has a trade surplus.
- It prints money to bailout any internal bad loans. It does this politically by picking and choosing winners and who gets bailed out, usually with foreigners getting stiffed.
- Its bank bailouts do not require issuance of new debt or taxpayer austerity.
- Banks do not all collapse at the same time because they get fresh new printed money to lend.
- Anyone at the bank who takes advantage of that moral hazard to lend outside of guidelines gets executed.
- The banks have very detailed guidelines for how they are to lend such that they are more or less partially privatized central planning.
- The government regularly issues guidelines to preemptively crush bubbles on purpose by restricting lending to overheated sectors instead of across the entire economy via raised interest rates.
I am not a big fan of the CCP, but their financial system is impressive. That system, by design, has conquered the boom/bust cycle, but western observers refuse to believe this because they are so throughly bought into the architecture of the western financial system and the many billions of words written on the topic of the operation of that system which is based on very different rules that they cannot imagine it could work any other way.
Brilliant. However, China hasn't escaped the threat of a huge bust.

I'm generally a China hawk. But Evergrande strikes me as a show of the Beijing system working.
China finds itself in a situation analogous to America pre-Lehman: comically over-indebted property speculators facing a cash crunch. In both cases, short-term financing is the straw breaking the camel's back. In America, banks refused to "extend and pretend," i.e. continue financing a bad debt. Ceteris paribus, this is good. But when banks realized everyone else would do this, they panicked (who, among their peers, was over-exposed to Lehman?), and refused to extend credit to each other or, for that matter, anyone else. This sparked a systemic credit crisis.
China, on the other hand, is a command economy. It owns the banks. If Evergrande collapses, it can order its banks to continue financing other competitors. Not only do the banks know this, everyone externally knows it. The end result will thus be the same: deleveraging in the property sector. But the violence of it is different.
Keep in mind, too, that the proximate cause of this crisis was Beijing putting leverage limits on developers like Evergrande. Evergrande didn't stop borrowing because nobody would lend to them. It stopped because Beijing said it couldn't.
It's best not to have a leverage problem. But once you have one, this seems like a decent way to exit. Property buyers and small-time depositors look likely to get their money back. Executives and foreign investors will get hosed; the former, perhaps worse.

LinkedIn hack leaked online | 187 GB torrent | yro.slashdot.org
A collection containing data about more than 700 million users, believed to have been scraped from LinkedIn, was leaked online this week after hackers previously tried to sell it earlier this year in June. From a report: The collection, obtained by The Record from a source, is currently being shared in private Telegram channels in the form of a torrent file containing approximately 187 GB of archived data. The Record analyzed files from this collection and found the data to be authentic, with data points such as: LinkedIn profile names, LinkedIn ID, LinkedIn profile URL, location information (town, city, country), and email addresses. While the vast majority of the data points contained in the leak are already public information and pose no threat to LinkedIn users, the leak also contains email addresses that are not normally viewable to the public on the official LinkedIn site.

"death": losing player called to greater things, one hopes.
An inspiringly optimistic spiritual outlook from the PGN standard, so thank you for that.
Technically, over the board one could just wait until their deceased opponent flags to claim a win, but in practice, for every occasion I'm aware of in high level tournament play, the remaining player will adjudicate the game honestly according to their evaluation of the position – even if that means resigning out of respect for his or her opponent. See Karapanos-Zoler (2009), or Meier-Niyizibi from the 2014 Olympiad .
One more thing to note is that playing high level chess is in fact a strenuous activity; one grandmaster playing while wearing a heart monitor recorded burning 560 calories in two hours. Top players like Carlsen or Caruana keep themselves in peak physical condition in addition to their chess preparation.
And although chess players as a demographic may have certain increased predispositions to conditions like Asperger's, schizophrenia, or cardiovascular diseases (likely due to the sedentary nature of the game), I'll relay something one older player once commented to me: that he has never found a documented case of a high level tournament chess player succumbing to Alzheimer's disease.

The real reason they were so pissed off at Assange seems to be in two parts: 1) The Chelsea Manning State Department cables. The video was all the hype, but just dig through the 'SECRET' cables on Iraq, Saudi Arabia, etc. Zero interest in 'human rights and democracy', lots of interests in oilfields, pipelines, military sales contracts, etc.
- Those Vault7 CIA leaks are incredibly embarrassing, it's like so closet criminal organization - and with a program to run cyberwarfare attacks using Russian/Chinese signatures in the code to hide atttribution? That's kind of insanely deceptive and criminal I think.
All told, those revelations make the State Dept. and the CIA look more like some kind of organized white-collar mafia outfit in the service of Wall Street shareholders than anything else. That kind of raw exposure makes the corrupt insiders in the US government very sad.
I'd guess they've got a lot more to hide, and are most worried about further eruptions of embarrassment.
boomboomsubban 21 hours ago [–]
I don't see how anybody could read this and then pretend that Assange has any chance of a fair trial in America. Not only were his communication constantly monitored for years, already a breach of client attorney privilege, the US considered flagrant assassination as a potential way to handle him.
I've heard many people say that Assange committed actual crimes and it's time for him to face the consequences of those actions. While I personally disagree about whether he's done anything illegal, even if he has it impossible for him to get a fair trial and justice to be served. Everything being done to him is an effort to get revenge on the person who embarrassed the military and intelligence communities.

Not after the entirety of the liberal press branded him a Putin stooge because he emabarrassed Hillary Clinton, that's for sure. Embarrassing the Clintons generally doesn't do any favors to one's life expectancy in this banana republic.

assortative faith | natural universal law | Bible, ET
The righteous have eyes open to objective truth, but the wicked live by self-serving lies. Thus providing evidence that is conclusive but not overwhelming tends to select for righteous believers. This assortative effect is the meaning of faith.
It is a natural law that good leads to life, but evil leads to death. Therefore the path to life is hidden from the eyes of the wicked. This was true in the Bible, and it is true now, because both have the same ET origin.

met Gray with 3 fingers and thumb on ?Mars in a dream
saw dome with garden
short Gray said one day he would tend a garden just like this.
Grays looked in on him a lot during his childhood at bedtime.
raised as Jehovah's Witness
chose him cuz of preexisting understanding of the Bible
something is coming, all about the return of a planetary body through our solar system
it's also inhabited
Was in a tube ship.
Giant hulk crew. Bowl cuts. 70s.
looking at computer screen.
crew of 12, hunkered, kinda afraid
going up at great speed, white light above
Anakim = Annunaki
6 digits, giants.
modified human DNA
read Enumma Elish, Atrahasis. sumerian books. sacred-texts.com
Enumma - precedes Bible. structure of solar system.
Watchers and Holy Ones
Watchers = Short Grays. Big black eyes. Watch people.
Holy Ones = Ethereal Aldebarans.
heaven is space. described as black.
Book of Adam removed from Bible, deemed too controversial. Wrongly.
Eisenhower met the same races already mentioned.
Reptilians. Aldebarans' punishment in Garden of Eden.
Go on belly = live underground.
Made ugly = humans imprinted with genetic repulsion to
Struck dumb = forbidden to communicate with humans
Snakes actually used to have arms and legs, evolutionarily.
Dinosaurs were probably placed by Draco patron, the dragon. Chris isn't aware of this angle. He's speculating. Wrongly assumes ALdebarans made Reptilians.
Believes in shapeshifting, doesn't know it's psychic mimicry.
Saw Reptilian using optical camouflage like Predator in his bedroom.
he tried to ignore it. it intimidated him. he started shouted out to gods, including Jehovah. it shook its fist at him.
Still transparent, could see it had a snout and a tail.
Reptilians don't have tails though. Strange.
brain hack for communicating with them
prayer vs meditation and trance-like states
Bible calls both good.
prayer is talking to
meditate is listening back
go into your closet and pray
ask in Jesus' name
Jesus Christ is king of humans, perfect representative of our species
be very specific about info you want
give thanks. they're really big on honor
ask for forgiveness
they have very strict morals, rigid
they can read our minds. don't think ill of them, will offend them.
meditation is targeted bloodflow, to 3rd eye in forehead
how to quiet thoughts:
elbows on knees, palms upward, on closed eyes, and gently push
forces blood out of eyes into nearest region, frontal lobe
will see geometric patterns and light. enjoy it.
don't do too long. 30 seconds.
write out your prayer beforehand.
There is a major disconnect between Ashtar, who deemphasizes the Bible, and the Illojim in contact with Chris Jenkins, who emphasizes it. Strange. I suppose it may be a generational difference in the Aldebarans. Perhaps I should use Illojim only to refer to Aldebarans of that generation who continue the Jesus Bible project. I imagine security is need to know.
Nibiru is Akkadian word, after Sumerian
Earth had no form, it was debris from a collision.
Nbiru's two moons hit Tiamat. Two pieces resulted: asteroid belt and proto-Earth.
Life transferred here through collision.
Descriptions of Nibiru in Bible
moves in a circuit, covered in clouds, brings inescapable heat
all stars are born in pairs
three days of darkness = going through the light-reflecting particle bubble. then can see their star.
then the destruction hits, from gravitational forces.
his understanding of why aging is faster on earth is wrong.
it's probably the higher radiation.
so my dyson sphere theory was wrong, nbiru has a nebula
and I guess the Illojim are based on Nbiru
malachi: "the sun of righteousness will arise, with healing in his wings"
many carvings of it, sun with wings! Google it.
exoplanets with eccentric orbits common, larger the longer, and cause giant impacts
multiple giant planets increases odds of eccentricity
that's what ?enuma says: struggle of gravity between jupiter, tiamat and nbiru
Earth will be captured into Nbiru's orbit.
Chris Jenkins will be old and grey when it happened.

time frame is our lifetimes. However when they showed me…I was old and gray. I saw myself.
They have an outpost on the moon…and in a mothership…I dont know exactly where it is ….I think it is in our asteroid belt. They watch us. They prevent us from permanently damaging ourselves or the earth. (nukes) They are "stationed" here until their planet returns.
Jesus is the son of ENKI….also called "YHWH" in the bible. He was genetically created ….perfect. He is what we all will become in the transition.
He is king of earth and representative of the human species to the rest of the universal population.
Each planet (inhabited) does indeed have a king. Or representative. There is a council of races ….and they in turn have a "God" …or higher species above them…and a representative that they deal with. Much like Jesus and us. So….I believe the cycles just get bigger and bigger. (found in the ENUMA ELISH by the way)
Astral projection is real…and they can do it at will.
We can do it also…but not like they can. They can take you out for an extended amount of time…and instantly return you…as if no time passed at all. Sometimes…the process gets messed up…and people experience "missing time". They mess with our memories…and can control the release of info….almost like a time delay pill…..is odd.
sun never sets, no more night.
They'll come to evac us, and people will hide from the UFO invasion.
We should climb a mountain to reach them. Wave. Yell.
Then comes the flood. So go with the evac!
Few will go.
he's been instructed to teach people this message and get them to the ships. we can ask him questions.
I need to connect with him on Facebook.

Marginal Revolut The world China wants China fact of the day
After years of escalating pressure, last November Chinese diplomats in Canberra warned that to enjoy better relations with Beijing, Australia’s government must address 14 Chinese grievances. It must, among other things, stop funding “anti-China” research, refrain from provocative actions like requesting a more thorough World Health Organization investigation of the origins of Covid-19, stop opposing strategic Chinese investments into Australia, and block private media outlets from publishing “unfriendly” news stories about China.
Behold face culture.

Nibiru warning | for Cyberthal
The winged sun is a popular motif carved in stone by ancient cultures worldwide. Venus provides a possible explanation, and the associated event is fairly nonthreatening.
There is another possible answer, one that relates to the creation of the asteroid belt.
Did you know that stars are born in pairs? Stars can be invisible if small or surrounded by a nebula.
Giant exoplanets with eccentric orbits are common when giant planets jostle in a solar system. A substar would function similarly.
